Winners of the 2022 Robotics Competition

We are pleased to announce the winners of the 2022 national robotics competition which are Royal Lynx and HaitiBot respectively in the high school and university categories.

We are pleased to announce the winners of the 2022 national robotics competition. This is the culmination of a process that started with a total of 130 students organized in 26 teams selected to compete in the 3rd edition of this competition.

The teams had to go through a very selective process that included multiple courses such as Python and Internet of Things with multiple tests along the way to assess their skills and commitment. After this first stage, 14 teams were selected to receive robotics kits to build their own robots. Out of those teams, 8 made it to the finals including 3 high school teams and 5 university teams. A full playlist showcasing the work of all these teams is available on YouTube here.

Competition Winners

Initially scheduled to be finalized at the end of August, various unexpected events outside of our control delayed the process by a few weeks. Finally, on Tuesday Nov 29th, we announced the winners of the competition based on the assessment of a 5-member jury made of professionals in the fields of computer science and electrical engineering. Results of their assessments can be seen in the images below (in French) which shows the final ranking of the top 3 teams in each category. Royal Lynx and HaitiBot won the first place in the high school and university categories respectively.

As shown in the images below, teams Royal Lynx and WeCode won the People's Choice Award in the high school and university categories respectively.
