The competition allows students to acquire and develop computer programming problem solving and team work skills.

Teams of 3 to 5 members are given a robotic kit and challenged to build a robot that can solve a problem that they care about. They receive coaching and support throughout the competition. The robots are judged primarily on creativity, complexity and completion. Judges are selected from a pool of accomplished engineers and professionals. Teams exhibited their robot during the EdTech summit (usually in July) where attendees have the opportunity to interact with them as they demo their work.
Q. What is the cost for students to participate?
EMO-Haiti strives to provide this experience to students at no cost to them. EMO-Haiti provides a robotic kit to each team free of charge. The registration is also free. However, we count on people like you to help us cover those costs. We are on CashApp at $EMOHAITI. Click Here for more ways to support.

Q. What robotic kit do you use?
We use a custom-designed kit that contains all the elements needed for the projects chosen by the students. We iterate over the design of the kit every year based on feedback from the students.
